What the course covers

• Capturing thermographic images of mechanical equipment, buildings and electrical installations (cable / bus-bar terminations and distribution systems)
• Accurate temperature measurement accounting for emissivity and background-reflection effects
• Analysing images, benchmarking against acceptable limits and identifying potential threats
• Full interpretation & evaluation of thermograms with repair-priority criteria and recommended course of action
• Professional report making to ASTM, ANSI/NETA ATS and NFPA (70B / 70E) standards

After the course you will be able to

• Operate an infrared camera efficiently (the course is geared to the FLIR infrared camera)
• Collect quality data without errors — accounting for emissivity, reflectivity and field-of-view
• Produce professional IR inspection reports for condition monitoring of mechanical, electrical, marine and building thermography
